Rachel has been a valuable part of Harbour since 2013, starting as an assistant support worker and rising to her current role as People, Communications, and Resident Engagement Manager. Before joining Harbour, Rachel worked in retail, which she believes greatly contributed to her success at Harbour by honing her communication skills and ability to engage with diverse individuals.
Rachel has worked in nearly every department at Harbour and is passionate about sharing her experiences, skills, and knowledge with staff to empower them to be the best in their roles. She is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment where everyone feels valued and supported. Rachel’s favourite thing about Harbour is the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others and create a supportive community within the organisation, both for residents and staff. Rachel believes that Harbour is one big family.
Rachel is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and has recently achieved a Level 5 qualification in Human Resources and People Management.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys carp fishing. She once caught a fish so big that she was featured in a fishing magazine. Rachel also loves tortoises and spends a lot of her free time creating bioactive enclosures, gardening and foraging!
