Harbour Housing is a charity with a mission to transform the lives of the South West’s most vulnerable individuals and play our part in making homelessness a thing of the past.
We provide a range of tailored services all with the aim of helping people who are either homeless or facing homelessness transform their lives. Ranging from supported accommodation to our dedicated EVA Project property for women fleeing domestic abuse or sexual violence, to our outreach project or seasonal cold weather provision, everything we do has one aim in mind – changing people’s lives for the better.
We don’t just provide people with a roof over their heads. We provide them with a home, and while they are with us, we work with them to help them overcome the barriers that lie between them and a life of independent living.
Here at Harbour Housing, we believe having a home of your own is a basic right, not a privilege. It’s our aim to be part of the solution and do our bit to make that a reality.
Our supported accommodation provides a home for at-risk individuals with multiple needs.
Our Outreach program offers support to vulnerably housed people to help them sustain their tenancy and access the support necessary to prevent them becoming homeless.
The EVA Project is our specialist service for women escaping domestic abuse or sexual violence. EVA stands for Empowered, Valued, Aware.
Harbour’s hospital discharge project provides safe, accessible and tailored accommodation for those in need who are at risk of homelessness or rough sleeping.
The STAR Project is our short term accommodation and resettlement project for people sleeping rough - where we work intensively to transition them towards longer term accommodation.
The Cold Weather Provision is a seasonal service that provides accommodation, intervention and support to individuals who would otherwise be street homeless during the winter months.
We were one of the pioneers of using the revolutionary naloxone life-saving treatment, which is now a vital resource in all our properties.
Harbour Housing operates a range of projects targeted at helping people either homeless or facing homelessness overcome the barriers that lie between them and a life of independent living. In addition, we are one of the pioneers of the life-saving treatment naloxone which we have rolled out throughout our organisation.
